TRAUMA-INFORMED YOGA GROUP
MOVE GENTLY.
BREATHE DEEPLY.
COME HOME TO YOURSELF.
A 4-Week Trauma-Informed Yoga Program Designed to Support Nervous System Regulation, Body Awareness, and Self-Empowerment

The Trauma-Informed Yoga Group at From the Heart Counseling Services offers a supportive space for participants to reconnect with their bodies, calm the nervous system, and develop practical tools for healing and self-awareness. The program combines gentle movement, breathwork, guided relaxation, education, and group support in an environment centered on choice, consent, and personal comfort.
Participants are encouraged to move at their own pace, take breaks when needed, and honor what feels right for their bodies. The goal is not perfect movement or performance. It is creating space to feel more grounded, present, connected, and supported.
THE PROCESS
A SAFE, SUPPORTIVE SPACE TO
RECONNECT WITH YOUR BODY
Trauma can influence the way the body responds to stress, safety, connection, and everyday experiences. Trauma-informed yoga offers participants an opportunity to develop greater awareness of those responses while exploring gentle ways to support regulation, strength, and presence.
Each 90-minute session combines education, discussion, movement, relaxation, and reflection. Participants remain in control of their experience throughout the program and are invited to make choices based on their individual needs.
CREATING SAFETY WITHIN
Participants begin by learning about the nervous system, developing a greater understanding of trauma, and exploring what may help them feel safer and more grounded within themselves.
FINDING STRENGTH & BOUNDARIES
Participants explore boundaries, personal power, and tools that may help support energy, needs, and self-respect.
RECONNECTING WITH THE BODY
The second stage focuses on building body awareness and learning to listen to the body with greater compassion, curiosity, and understanding.
INTEGRATION & SELF-COMPASSION
The final stage creates space to reflect on the experience, recognize growth, and develop greater self-compassion while identifying ways to carry what has been learned into everyday life.
A GENTLER WAY TO MOVE FORWARD
Trauma-informed yoga creates an opportunity to slow down, listen inward, and reconnect with the body in a way that honors individual needs and experiences. Participants are invited to approach movement without pressure and develop practices that can support greater awareness, regulation, and self-compassion.
Healing is not linear. You are not alone. Together, we grow.
